| Myrene Abdominal Massage is a course that focuses on the muscles of the abdomen, the pelvic girdle and low back. We will discuss the energetics of the Sacral and Solar Plexus Chakras which houses these areas of the body. Indications and contraindications will be taught as well as emotional holding patterns that occur in these areas. A complete sessionn protocol will be demonstrated. This class is offered two times this year. |

| Rene Shuford, LMBT is the owner and director of Blue Ridge Healing Arts Academy. She is involved in developing workshops and curriculums that will bring quality and high standards to the massage therapy industry. Her first love is teaching with an emphasis on helping other teachers bring quality to the classroom setting. She loves to attend community service functions in her area, travel and garden. Rene' also maintains a private practice where her primary work is LaStone Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage and Energy work. | Chris Pardue, LMBT began his massage career in 1993. In 1995 he worked with the steering committee that passed the legislation to make Massage Therapy a licensed profession in North Carolina. He joined Hospice of Davidson County in 1996 and now sits on their Board of Directors. He was an EMT for 21 years and now splits his time between working in his full time practice, teaching as a faculty instructor at Blue Ridge Healing Arts Academy, and teaching as a Continuing Education provider for the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. He enjoys living on the lake and boating in his free time. |
